Grand Theft Auto V, GTA V. According to a few whispers and rumours the up and coming new game from Rockstar, which is the next part of the GTA Series, could be heading back to the West-Coast for the stage of it’s venture. Alongside this, it has also been heard that Hollywood could be the new backdrop.

So who is doing all of the whispering I may hear you asking? Well, it’s coming from the direction of vg24/7. They have also claimed that GTA V’s announcement is soon too be made public, within the next 3 months possibly. Not only this but a surprise claim is that it could be revealed with the first public showing of Max Payne 3.

So tell us, in the comments section, would you be happy with a return to Hollywood for GTA V, or would this disappoint you while you were hoping for something a little “Outside the box”? Let us know.

There has certainly been a build up for this game ready to be unleashed onto the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360, and Ubisoft certainly hasn’t held back. Take a look at the trailer. It will amaze you, although it has to be said, this isn’t actual game footage, it is CGI.

But still, it looks like Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be an extraordinary game, with the amount of time and money being pushed into this, I personally cannot wait!

Introduction

Today we have another Joystick from Thrustmaster, the T.Flight Hotas X. Most people are happy with using a keyboard and mouse to playing on flight simulators and games such as Battlefield 2 but there are a lot more people who prefer to have more control while gaming.

The T.Flight Hotas X is here to out-do it’s predecessor, (which we reviewed here last month) because it doesn’t just include a joystick, it also includes a detachable throttle control and direct configuration for immediate takeoff during gameplay. So lets see if the Hotas X can perform even better than the T.16000M.

Features

T.Flight Hotas X (PC & PS3 Compatible)

Unique: Plug & Play for ultra-simple and fast installation with all functions pre-configured for immediate takeoff (without worrying about configuration)

Detachable, real-size, ergonomically-designed throttle control

Dual-system aerodynamic control: by rotating handle (with integrated blocking system) or by progressive tilting lever

High-precision joystick with adjustable resistance

Wide hand-rest for optimal comfort

Trigger for brakes (civil flight) or for rapid fire (military flight) + multi-directional hat (panoramic view)

Weighted base for greater stability

Exclusive “MAPPING” button: all functions may be instantly switched around between each other

Exclusive “PRESET” button”: to switch, while playing, instantly from one programme to another

Internal memory: to save all of your programming, even with the joystick disconnected

Programmable: the 12 buttons and 5 axles are entirely programmable.

Tom Clancy’s HAWX (PC version)

60 aircraft available for various missions

ERS (Enhanced Reality System) mode for total assistance with combat piloting

Ability to play 4 player co-op, 16 online and 1-on-1

An anxious move from EA and DICE of releasing an updated version of the classic Battlefield 1942 as the all new Battlefield 1943 has proven to be a success.

DICE, today, has announced that sales figures for XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 downloads of the game have soared past the 600,000 mark since its release on July 8th. These figures are really fantastic when you consider it is a download-only title and also has not been released on PC yet… and the predicted sales for PC are even higher.

To add to the success, the title has been reported to be the record holder for the fastest selling day one release and also the largest selling one week download on the XBOX 360 console.

Battlefield 1943 is set to be released on PC sometime in September.

LONDON, UK– 24th July, 2009 – LucasArts today announced that their hit videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will see further expansion this Fall through a new downloadable level for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. In addition, the company also announced Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, a special new version of the game for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, that will show gamers the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself. Available this holiday season at retail stores, The Ultimate Sith Edition will include all of the original missions found in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as well as content previously only available via download and an all-new exclusive bonus level*.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force and casts players as Darth Vader’s“Secret Apprentice,” unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy seen through the eyes of a mysterious new character armed with unprecedented powers. Originally released in September 2008, the game quickly became the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever, and has since sold six million units worldwide.

About the Tatooine Downloadable Content for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Available this Fall via direct download from the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network and the PlayStation®Network, this new downloadable mission continues the story of The Force Unleashed in a new“Infinities” storyline that takes the Star Wars Saga in an entirely new and unexpected direction.

The mission begins at the end of the story of The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at the Emperor’s side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe. The story picks up as the Emperor sends his new apprentice to the planet Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi — who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt’s palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.

About Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition

Due to be released in retail stores this holiday season for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed videogame and three new levels to create the definitive ultimate-evil storyline of the events that occurred between the two classic Star Wars movie trilogies*.

The additional content includes two levels set on Coruscant and Tatooine previously only available via direct download, and an all-new exclusive level available only in the Ultimate Sith Edition package.

The exclusive level concludes the“Infinities” storyline set up in the Tatooine mission, as the Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

More information about the game can be found at the official website, www.theforceunleashed.com.

Activision recently announced that there will be a release of a third map pack for ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ during August.

Entailed within the 3rd map pack will be three multiplayer maps called: Battery, Revolution and Breach. Also, there will be a zombie pack with the strange name “Der Reisse”. Humourously this sounds a lot like my name, ‘Rhys’, but I’m pretty sure I’m not a zombie. Rest assured.

Microsoft has not released details about the pricing. However, if anything goes by previous map packs, the third map back will cost you 800 sweet Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace or 7.99 GBP on the Playstation Store.

When they’re released, we’ll hopefully post some screenshots and more details about the maps.
