An anxious move from EA and DICE of releasing an updated version of the classic Battlefield 1942 as the all new Battlefield 1943 has proven to be a success.
DICE, today, has announced that sales figures for XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 downloads of the game have soared past the 600,000 mark since its release on July 8th. These figures are really fantastic when you consider it is a download-only title and also has not been released on PC yet… and the predicted sales for PC are even higher.
To add to the success, the title has been reported to be the record holder for the fastest selling day one release and also the largest selling one week download on the XBOX 360 console.
Battlefield 1943 is set to be released on PC sometime in September.
