Rumour has it that Bungie will not be doing any additional Halo titles for the foreseeable future. Also, that Microsoft has done a deal with Gearbox Software who will be developing Halo 4.
A recent interview with Randy Pitchford (CEO of Gearbox Software) has been quoted with him saying “It’s no secret that we have some other things in development,” although he doesn’t mention that Gearbox has won the deal to develop Halo 4, the discussion ended there, according to reports. This leaves the question as to who will be developing Halo 4 still partly open.
But from all the buzz milling around the internet, its a safe bet that Microsoft has either sealed a deal with Gearbox Software to develop Halo 4 or that they’re currently in the process of finalising the deal. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
